WHITE LIP e GOLD LIP
(Pinctada Maxima)

This is one of the most precious and iridescent shell. It grows spontaneously in deep seas even at 100 mt, while its farming is very difficult because this shell is highly delicate. It can reach great dimensions, till 30 cm in diameter and 5 kg weight. This shell is called White Lip or Gold Lip depending on whether its colour is more white or golden and offers the precious South Seas pearls.
